About Us

High Country Fire~Rescue (HCFR) is a private, non-profit volunteer fire and rescue company providing services to the entire community north of the historic "Route 66" town of Williams, Arizona. Our range of coverage is along Sate Highway 64, from mile marker 188 (southern boundary) to 219 (northern boundary), which includes private properties up to ten (10) miles on either side of the highway.

High Country Fire~Rescue provides all emergency services, including fire and medical, as well as community educational programs, for the residents within our response area. Additionally, we provide mutual aid to neighboring fire departments, and state and federal land agencies bordering our response area. In times of need, HCFR also relies upon this mutual aid to assist our department when responding to major vehicular accidents and structural fires.

Mission & Motto

Our mission is to provide medical and fire services via cost-effective personal contracts with interested property owners within our boundary area.

High Country Fire-Rescue is committed to providing services twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week, no matter the season or reason for a call requesting emergency aid.

Our dispatchers are the first to be contacted via 911 operators and provide the critical link for dispatching our volunteers and apparatus to those in need, whether it be for medical, fire, or other related emergency needs of our residents and visitors traveling throughout our boundaries.

Our motto is to provide our community with "Acts of Random Kindness." High Country Fire-Rescue's staff are dedicated to ensuring all residents and travelers encountered in our area are treated in such a manner.
